逸行传续编-英度公传（第七世）

公武庠生。讳世雄，字英度，太高祖加梁公子也。貌魁梧，有智勇。鼎革初，寇氛未息，公练乡兵，为闾里卫，族党藉无恐焉。顺治十年秋，胶寇海士行，噪过睢邑，侯魏公之弟名三疯子者，摄其尾。寇怒，还攻围甚急。公闻变，率众往遏遇，遇贼于城西隅。贼众如蚁，公马滔泥淖中，贼还数匝，爱公勇欲胁以徔。公曰：“吾纵不歼尔，以泄阖邑愤，岂为尔辈屈哉！”贼挥戈相向，矢集如雨，遂罹害。初、公之出也，战马伏厩，鞭之不起，乘驹以往，驹未习战，是以临阵而逸也。公殁后，加梁公耗得其详，仰天笑曰：“吾子得死所矣！”遂不复恸。然终以思子故，不逾年而卒。论者谓破城之变，由魏三疯子饵之，疑公为徔，邑乘遂以不载。不知公至自乡，实闻变而来也。特不幸而败殁耳！假使一战，而罪人斯得，论者又当如何云云矣。拘成败之见，致公之义烈湮没弗彰。惜哉！
